Roman Dad

Can you recognize this man? This week we were visited by "Willius Maximus" a Roman centurian who travelled in time from the year 107AD! He arrived at our home in time to accompany us to our weekly co-op where I am teaching a class on "How to Enlist in the Roman Army" . I needed an exciting way to start the class off right, so I enlisted my own man to make the day a memorable one!

I have to say that I could barely take this picture becasue I was laughing so hard the camera was shaking!!!

Here we are at our co-op class. My class is 10 students from 5-8 years old. The co-op is about 35 familes with a total of about 50 students. We meet once a week from 9-12ish. My boys LOVE co-op day and its been a great way to make friends and meet other homeschooling families.
After explaining his uniform, we had marching practice. All new recruits had to learn how to march, salute, and CHARGE!

All my friends at co-op kept asking me, "How did you get him to do this?" Secret is....(shhhh) I think he really liked it and had alot of fun. Isn't he the coolest Dad ever?
