Football+One COOL Coach

This year Tyler wanted to play football, but being that he is only 5... we were limited (mom is thankful for this) to flag football, only once we registered and Will agreed to coach, we realized there are no flags. And to be honest, not even much traditional football of any kind. Its basically ultimate frisbee, but using a football. And, in the end Will thought it was really great for this age becasue it FORCED them to learn defense, and to do basics of throw and catch. Here they are on the field...coaches stay on the field to help direct the players....

He had some really great kids on the team, and did an AMAZING job of coaching them. Trying to keep the attention of 11 little guys at 5pm on a Friday for practice is tough! Games were on Saturday mornings. But Will pulled it off, and we saw the team improve every week. By the last game you could tell they had learned alot and were really a cohesive team. And the parents gave Will some really wonderful feedback about what a great coach he is. One dad wants his son on Will's team again next year!!!

Here you can see Tyler playing some mean defense!

ALl the kids have to wear mouth guards, so it was funny seeing all these yellow glowing teeth all the time!

Best of all, Tyler really enjoyed having his time with Dad, just a special thing for them to do together. Meanwhile Zach Cori and I just tried to keep warm on the sidelines :-)
