Wednesday proved to be an exciting day when I had to take Cori to the ER after finding out she had pneumonia. She had been sick (with congestion) for a week, and didn't seem to be getting better. Saturday it turned into a bad cough and I just couldn't kick the sense that something more was wrong. Will was in Blacksburg at the time, so I was concerned when I had to go to the ER with Ty and Zach both at school. Thankfully, I had friends I could call at a moments notice to help me and Will was able to drive rocket speed (i don't even want to know) to get home. I think a drive that usually takes 4 1/2 -5 hours he did in under 4.
We were told we would have to be admitted to the hospital, but almost immediately after arriving she started to improve. Even smiling at the nurse in triage. So after a 7 hour stay, 2 IV's, some antibiotic, and lots of pacing the hallway, we were allowed to come home. I attribute alot of that to God answering the prayers of friends and family!
So here is a pic of us giving Cori a nebulizer treatment at home... and since she really hates it, the boys provided some fun entertainment for her while sitting with a mask on her face. It was a Superhero dance, with singing and all. I think they thought a "nebulizer" was a kind of new ray gun or blaster so it kind of goes with the theme.....
