SO, in the morning I knew the boys alarm was set to go off. Cori was first up, as usual. Ty made his way downstairs at about 7:30. At about 7:40 I'm wondering where Zach is and if he is awake yet? So, when i go to check on him this is what I find:
Ah, it warms a mothers heart! A boy dressed, bed made, reading his Bible and ready to go! (BTW- this is a first for him!)
After breakfast, Ty wanted to get started on a puzzle (?) so since we had plenty of time, it was fine! As a matter of fact, we were ready early and I wanted to get some wigglies out so we took a quick bike ride about the neighborhood. I think was about at 8:45am?

After our litte ride/walk, I had planned a scavenger hunt. It wasnt a big deal, just a few clues to send them around to different locations in/out of the house. They thought it was a blast!
clue #1(Zach had been saving his new Angry Birds shirt for the occasion!)
more clues at the keyboard.....
Finally, clue # 6, a map to the yard..... followed by the "treasure" which was basically candy and new fun books. What a treat! Then we took some photos and got to work....

What a great way to start the year! It makes me wish my guys were young again. It sounds like you had an exciting start. May the Lord grant you grace each day as you teach and care for your family. I am all inspired now and ready to do something fun with my kids.
