Well, so far so good on the homeschooling front. Besides that fact I am TIRED and that this is ALOT of work, it is so very worth it. Its worth it when I see Zach happy and relaxed. Its worth it when I see him reading, and reading, and reading, and asking for more books (last year he didnt want to read much but comics) Its worth it when someone asks him how HS is going, and he says," Awesome! I love it!" Its also nice that we have a very relaxing morning getting ready and eating breakfast. It takes alot of pressure off, and we arent in the anxiety induced 8am scramble to get out the door and to the bus.
I know it will get easier for me, the more I do this, and Ty and Cori are doing great with it too. A good fit all the way around and we are so thankful. Here are some quick photos from our trip to Luray last week on the way to Blacksburg. Zach said, "It was one of the best days of my life!"
It was alot of fun, and the audio scavenger hunt for kids they provide was really well done. PLus, it reminded me that something beautiful like those caverns weren't made in a day (more like thousands/millions of years??) and most good things dont come easy or fast, so I need to be patient in this process of parenting/teaching.
