This weekend we were in Blacksburg to visit Will's mom and had a great trip.
Zachary has been asking for a few months to be baptized, so after having many conversations about the purpose and reason, he decided to do it and we thought Blacksburg would be a great place, since Will and I were both baptized there as well.
It was really a wonderful moment. Even in the pouring rain! We were picnicing at a friends property that has a small creek and has many baptisms there on different occasions. Bev and others joined us as Zachary "took the plunge". In the video, you'll hear him protesting, mainly because the water is cold and he got a little scared at the last second, but anyone who knows Zach understands his disposition and beleive me, its not something we forced him to do AT ALL!
He has already told a few people about it since we got back home, and I know he would want me to share this with all of you as well. We believe Z understands that God loves him and that Jesus died for him. Even Jesus himself asked that we all come to Him with faith like little children. Zach is excited about it and we are very proud of him!

Woohoo, way to go, Zach! I was baptized by Pastor Dale at the old Redeemer building when I was in kindergarten. There's something special about kids wanted to get baptized, isn't there? And to have his dad baptize him...cool!
