First, I signed up for this "TRY-athlon" to raise money for Autism Speaks. I haven't ever competed in one before. I havent even exercised in.... hmmm.... ok a really long time. (see post on March 3 for more info)
Now, I'm posting pictures of myself in a cap and goggles. And a bathing suit. On the Internet. I must be crazy.
But, so many of my friends and family have been incredibly generous in giving to this GREAT CAUSE on my behalf and in support of Zachary. I have been so touched. Many of you have asked how I'm managing to train with 3 kids. I'm still trying to figure that out myself... but here's just a little glimpse into my world. A key and essential ingredient to this evening was of course, Will ....who is also being a wonderful encouragement to me in training. He stood in the shallow end with squirmy squid Cori and 2 boys while I swam laps. Then, when it was Will's turn to swim some laps, he only got about 8 in when Zach got cold and was ready to go. Sorry Dad! but THANK YOU!
Way to go, Sarah! Everyone at Autism Speaks is cheering for you. Let us know how it turns out - I'm sure you'll do great. Thanks again for your support - Zachary is a very lucky boy! :)
