So today Zach is reading abook about Helen Keller. He actually had seen something about her, so he asked if he could learn more about her. After reading the book (a brief summary) he said to me,"Wow, after reading about her now I KNOW I can do anything even though I have Autism!"
I was glad to hear it.
So I asked, " Didn't you already know that?" and he said, "well, sort of. But his makes me really sure I can."
Thank You, Lord for giving Zach encouragement in all kinds of places.
I fin myself sometimes wanting to be as "creative" and discerning as Anne Sullivan- finding unconventional ways to unlock the puzzle of kids who are misunderstood.
