Riding the "Pony"

Granddaddy and Grammy recently acquired a new animal to add to their "hobby farm". Now, when Cori prays for Mimi and Grandaddy and Buddy (the dog), and the chickens, she also adds, "and Pony too". All the kids were timid at first, but the Pony was very sweet and gentle. Zach decided to go in for a closer look.

Then, on his own accord, he decided to take a ride! We were pleasantly suprised because last time we paid for a horse ride at Massanutten, both boys refused to ride at the last second (this = some frustrated parents and -$40). Anyway, this day was a different matter. I've heard some children on the Spectrum have really benefitted from "Equine therapy" but I've never been able to get Zach comfortable around horses. Another succes for him!

Then, Tyler wanted a turn too!

Thankfully, Mimi had bought a helmet, This helped me to relax a little too :-)
