All 3 kids were up bright and early this day.Zach said he barely slept-I think he was more excited for Ty's gifts than he was.
First, he got some legos which were a big hit. He enjoyed his king's costume from Nana- he had been asking for one for a while! The crown is really great.
YOM sent a great bouquet of cookies- sports theme!
Mom and Dad got him a new scooter- he has an old one that's way too small for him now, so here I am thinking how excited he will be to get his own new one (since he uses Zach's all the time). Well, Mom bombed on this one. Can't you tell how excited he is by his expression!! I think he had been looking at that big box for a week and had visions of what was inside. The scooter was a real let-down. Oh well! I think he'll change his mind come spring, but we'll see.
Ty got to be king for a day- so he use his time to build his new lego sets, play Wii, and stay in his pajamas all day. The boys watched a new LEGO video they got from Grandma. (Padawan Menace- so funny!) Later we played some board games and banana grams. I remember when Andrea gave him these- (or maybe it was Zach?) and the reaction wasn't too polite. So, see? They do come around and like certain gifts after all!
That evening, we went to the library since Tyler said "he was out of books". And we stocked up. Then, his choice was Chipolte for dinner and then to Dairy Queen. Will was happy! He has pretty much trained the kids to like what he likes!! We had a great time together.
When I put Ty to bed the night before, he reminded me it was the last time I would hug a son who was 6 years old. Oh, it made me sad! Then he said, "but dont worry, Mom. You still have Cori to hug when she is 6!" Yes, but no more little boys in this house. I cant believe he is 7!
