Passing Time in Waiting Rooms

One skill that C and T have learned is what I call "waiting room etiquette". We have spent ALOT of time in waiting rooms over the past few years- well really, since Tyler was a baby. That is about when health issues started with Zach, and we started OT. (Occupational Therapy). And since many appointments require me to stay, and are not a "drop off " type of thing- Tyler is along for the ride. And now, Cori too. We've made alot of friends along the way, my waiting room buddies, who are other moms with kids that have special needs or health concerns. Conversations usually center around school choices, educational advocates, other therapists, camps, nutrition, and the like.
Anyway, I am so blessed by this kid! He has found ways to entertain himself and has done every puzzle, read every book in every waiting room we frequent. This day, he was bored becasue this place has mostly "baby toys"... but look at what he was able to create! He called it a circle of animals- and had a name for each one.
I'm convinced this is WAY better than getting a DS to pass the time.
Cori happened to cover herself with doggie stickers this same visit when i wasnt paying attention, but i wasnt able to get a photo of that one. I'm sure there will be a next time :-)
